Our reaction to Kaash Paige’s live show @ Lincoln Hall, Chicago.

22-year-old D’Kyla Paige Woolen (aka Kaash Paige) has already found success as a young artist and there’s no evidence her momentum is slowing down.
The Dallas native first gained attention with her single “Love Songs” in early 2019, which quickly went viral and spent six weeks at the top of Spotify’s global viral chart. Her impressive work ethic and songwriting abilities not only have have earned her an impressive number of fans, but also a record deal with Se Lavi Productions and Def Jam Recordings. Since then, Kaash has crafted 2 albums (Teenage Fever, S2ML), numerous singles, and landed massive features including “Euphoria” with Travis Scott & Don Toliver.
The Deviate Team had the opportunity to catch her show at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall and we’re still buzzing.
What were some of our favorites? Well, that’s definitely a loaded question… Kaash is the type of artist who successfully brings a different energy to each track. We saw her ultimate confidence shine through on “’64” in which she slow-paced from one side of the stage to the other, showing love to fans left and right. On “Jaded” (below) she got in her feels (and probably the entire venue as well) and highlighted her unique vocal range – absolutely one of the most rememberable tracks for us and from the sea of phones in the air it’s safe to say we aren’t alone.
If the goal was to cement herself as a top R&B artist, consider it checked off. Her on-stage charisma mixed with her ability to personally connect with the audience was both masterful and super lively. I’m always a sucker for artists that show their fan appreciation and Kaash did just that… I don’t think she stopped smiling the entire show.
KP got to finish up her final leg of the tour in her hometown of Dallas, TX which means 2 things: 1). she got to show out for her roots and 2). you’ll have to wait to witness her live presence…
Be on the lookout for more Kaash Paige news and be sure to support her upcoming tunes.
