You most likely know of Jai Wolf as most electronic music fans do. However, these Intermission Broadcast mixes are somewhat of a hidden treasure…his in particular.

I only recently was made aware of the Odesza-created Foreign Family Collective: Intermission Broadcast mix series. The series started as a result of country-wide quarantines becoming a mandate and their artists being forced to cancel their shows and tours. It was a way for FFC artists to get their unreleased material out to their fans, which I can definitely appreciate.

Jai Wolf isn’t the only big name artist on the series docket; other mixes include Chet Porter, Whethan, TOKiMONSTA, Robotaki, and (one of my personal favorites) SG Lewis. If you like this mix, I’d check those out as well. Always nice to support the FFC label.

I enjoy this mix so much because of 2 main reasons. The first is how eclectic the song combination is. You get softer stuff like Party Pupils, Chet Porter, and Sam Holo, and but then have the potential seizure-inducers like Rezz and Dog Blood. You’d think these would be difficult to blend together, but for him it’s second nature.

The second reason I’ve already listened to this 5 times this week is the amount of fresh, unreleased tracks he unveils. Right from the start he gives us one of his new singles and has at least 4 or 5 other unreleased edits peppered in. I especially like that ‘Heartless’ remix.

Jump on board and give this mix a listen. This definitely got me excited for more of the Intermission Broadcast series. Let me know what you think!
