23-year-old Chase Murphy continues his hot run of singles with his new tune “No Peakin”.
The Boston native has been making quite the name for himself over the past year, first gaining steam from his 2018 single “No Mo” which has seen close to 2M streams on Spotify alone. He’s poised for similar growth in 2022, releasing the last single off his upcoming project Tip of the Iceberg.
Chase has been refining his craft in the secluded nature of Reykjavik, Iceland were the single was recorded. Long introspective sessions gave Murphy what he needed to put his signature, unrestrained lyrics over an organic production.
Chase also recruits Chicago lyricist Mick Jenkins (not the first time you’ve seen his name on here) to add his take. The 2 flow nicely together, trading verse after verse and bar after bar. I hope this isn’t the last time we see them team up.
