Pop-rocker Chloe George talks FADER, her new single “The Door,” and Christmas music

Chloe George has all the makings of a star: a knack for writing, a powerful voice, and such a fun, down-to-earth demeanor.

Our 2-minute talk was example of this. We recently sat down to talk her newest single “The Door” – a nostalgic tune of a past relationship recalled by one small, everyday event (200K streams on Spotify alone and rapidly growing). You get to see more of Chloe’s rock side on this one with energetic power chords and distorted background guitar strums. Range is certainly not something she lacks…

I find it quite impressive this is only her second original release. However, Chloe has been around music her entire life coming from a musical arts-engrossed family then moving on to sharpen her pen at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute. Upon graduation she first found superb talents in songwriting, writing for some of pop music’s biggest names (Clairo, The Chainsmokers, Anne-Marie, and Normani to name a few).

The beginning of this year the Bay Area native began to record for herself and she never looked back, releasing her first single “Peachi,” signing a record deal with FADER, and now her pop-rock anthem “The Door”. We can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store.

Be sure to check out her live acoustic performance of “The Door” below.

If you’re like the rest of us and dig Chloe’s vocal prowess, be sure to check out her rendition of Kanye’s “Ghost Town” here: guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Oh.. and it only has a measly 47-million streams.

I want to thanks Chloe and her team once again for taking the time to chat with us. This won’t be the last time you see Chloe’s name here!

Chloe George will always be a Deviate.
